Currently I have been reading all sorts of books and ideas, I always like to get many perspectives on things.
The following extract was take from Tim Ferriss’s book, The 4-hr work Week, and is a portion of an email he received from a terminally ill girl, a few years back.
I don’t think it needs much other explanantion that itself.
I reckoned it was something worth sharing.

The Hon Member of Wentworth
Malcolm Turnbull.
Dear Malcolm,
Please don’t be a “twit”! I know it has been a long time since I wrote last, and probably the subject line of this might cause you to throw it away, but please humour me (like I am humouring your Twitter start).
I was excited (okay probably an exaggeration), or pleased, to see your new twitter account broadcast about this week.
It felt like finally we might be getting a politician to actually get engaged with their community in a ‘real’ way, rather than much publicized photo shoot opportunities and 30 second inane chatter sessions.

When we moved into our new office just over a year ago, we were busting the seams on our old space and needed more.
At the time it felt like we would need more and more space to keep up. A year later, we have hit our maximum and have such a good space, I figured it was about time we made better use of it.
We have already got 1 complimentary business (marketing firm ‘Nutshell Marketing‘) sub leasing / sharing some space and the communal business facilities.
Watching the blogosphere and seeing all the press about Coworking and its development overseas and slowly here, it seems about time we did something a bit more proactive about making the best of the space.

Sounds a little like social media.
We moved to acreage 18 months ago, as a lifestyle choice. Part of the new journey on our paradise plot is that gardening of all sorts and sizes is very much a part of our daily lives.
In the last 8 months this has become a bigger part of our health changes, as I took on making food - yep a real hunter gatherer.

Don’t get me wrong - like everyone who has been around the web for a long (read:maybe too long) time, Google has been an important part of opening the interweb up to the masses and making many web based things easy.
But…
As a closet data miner, and Information Analyser, I often wonder about when the popular masses will get as paranoid about their data collection services as they were here in Australia over the Australia Card debate, in the 1980s.
I was reading this morning a couple of interesting posts, 1 of which I tend to agree with, although I can see the value in both messages.
