ireckon it’s an amazing race #irace

Today for something a little different I have set up an ‘Amazing Race’ around Brisbane CBD as part of the staff Xmas party.

There are a whole lot of weird things going on and prizes for the winning team.

There will be three teams of four racing about doing weird stuff and using twitter to communicate back to me to get their next clues. SO if you are interested in watching in follow #irace this afternoon / early evening to see what they get up to.

I will try to keep updates flowing through and later we will put up photos on our facebook fan page area as well.

If you are in Brisbane and work in the CBD, each team is going to need your help to complete the race. Keep your eye on the hash tag stream and see how you can help them achieve their goals.

At each stage, they get new envelopes. There are rules of course; penalties ensue if they are broken.

Here are the rules:

• No team collaboration – which means only your team and you, can help each other.
• If using transportation you cannot be in the same carriage / bus area, cab as any other team. First there best dressed
• You must get something from someone in Brisbane CBD (via twitter) from his or her workplace. I.e. letterhead – it must be sent via twitpic being received and you must bring that item to the finish
• Each clue must be answered and completed to score points and be in running for final rewards
• Each answer must be submitted according to the instructions given.
• My decision (Darryl) is final I maketh the rules, I award the points.
• Remember we are still representing the company while out and about, have fun but be careful about how you interact with people
• Creativity includes invention
• You must wear your t-shirts at all times
• You must stay together at all times
• There are prizes
• There are points for each leg – 3/2/1
• I will / may award / deduct points at any time for any reason
• You must account for all money – receipts & or use the spare envelope to record all spending (this matters to the final result)
• There are spies
• Each team has five ireckon badges (supplied by customtees.com.au) you must give them out to five individuals (not your team members) and take a photo of them. Each must be sent by twitpic to me to be able to win.
• All tweets need to use the hash tag
