There was no more violence

Imagine if people stopped using violence as a way of fixing their insecurities and issues.

Imagine if we all believed that violence wasn’t the answer and never actually solved anything. We often speak these words but then back them up with little outs like ‘except in extreme circumstances’. What if everyone lost any belief in ‘extreme circumstances’.

What if humans never ever resorted to violence to “solve” anything.

In truth nothing got solved by violence. There are still wars every day, murders every day… The war on everything simply doesn’t work.

Imagine if humans stopped trying to force their view on every one else.  What purpose would religious crusades, wars of politics etc. ? There would be none.

Not that there wouldn’t be differences of opinion, different views. Imagine though people not taking an immediate defensive position to their views and simply listening to the opinions of others. Imagine those speaking not stating it as absolute fact, but explaining their views or opinions and in turn listening to others.

Imagine walking away after sharing such dialogue, with an open mind. Imagine not ending up in arguments or offended positions.

Imagine no death apart from natural causes. No one taking anyone else’s life because it was truly sacred. No matter religious persuasion, political views, background or history that everyone respected everyone else’s right to live and to exist.

Without exception.

John Lennon’s lyrics in Imagine sum it up…

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace, you

You may say I’m a dreamer…

Imagine if…

They taught meditation in schools

Imagine what our world might be like if everyday every child in every school, meditated on arrival at school for 30 minutes and for 30 minutes before they left.

A way to center themselves and prepare for their day at school and then again at the end of the day as they prepare to leave their protected school environment and take a healthy attitude back out into the world.

Imagine if they did this from when they started at pre-school, through early schooling and all the way until they left high school.
